Charles Castronovo

Jonas Kaufmann

Termed "The Ideal Tenor" who is "sexy like Brad, with curls like Antonio, can play like George by Stern.de, Jonas Kaufmann cuts a strikingly tall, slender and romantic figure on stage, his curly black hair and noble profile suggestive of a Pre-Raphaelite Jesus Christ. Born in Munich in 1969, Music was always the family hobby, and his father was keen on Wagner and Mahler - "the heavy stuff". As a child he was taken regularly to the opera, and would dream about being on stage.

He lives with his wife, also a singer, and three young children in Zurich, where he sings regularly. Now doesn't that remind us of one of our favourite barihunks...

This opera hunk is some serious eye candy. Dem pictures speak for themselves!! Now who said opera was boring...

James Valenti sings"Bella figlia dell'amore"from Rigoletto

James Valenti sings "Parigi o cara" from La traviata

James Valenti

Valenti is your classic "tall, dark and handsome" dream hunk that you would find in the pages of a romance novel. An old-school tenor with a clear, crystalline, hall-filling voice and a natural acting style, Valenti graduated from the prestigious Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia and has been described as having a "strong and firm voice", with perfect delivery", and "a gorgeous man."

Future Engagements include Madama Butterfly at New York City Opera which will be televised on "Live from Lincoln Center" and at the Royal Opera Covent Garden, and with Michigan Opera Theatre, and Opera Pacific, L'elisir d'amore at the Hamburgisch Staatsoper.

Now wouldn't you want him crooning at your feet...

Zachary Stains

Praised for the beauty of his voice and the interpretative power of his characterizations, tenor Zachary Stains is gaining recognition as one of opera’s exciting new singers. For roles ranging from Monteverdi and Handel to Rossini and Britten he is steadily winning the respect of fellow artists and enthusiastic audiences alike. Complemented with his dashing goods looks, his chiseled body, and most importantly his total nudity in a performance of Ercole Sul Termodonte by Vivaldi, Stains will go down in opera history as being the only tenor to have appeared completely naked (with the exception of a mantle thrown over his shoulders) not for some quick scene but for an entire opera. Sweet!

Upcoming performances include Il Barbiere di Siviglia on February 15, 17, 19 with the Hawaii Opera Theater and Orpheus in the Underworld on April 11, 13, 17, 19 with Opera Vivente. Bought tix?
